The magic began in 1997 when I met Frank. Frank and I went to the same school but we had never seen each other. The first time we met was inside the city bus. After that day he seemed to appear everywhere in the school hallways. How could it be that I had never seen him before?
I’m glad he walked into my life and that he has been part of it for 13 years. He is truly an amazing person and I don’t think words can ever describe how much he means in my life. He is also an amazing father.
10 years later in 2007 we welcome our baby boy Diego. Now he is almost 3 years old and considers himself a super hero. He is definitely my little hero, the one that has given me the chance to try to be a super mom, even when I’m having challenging moments in balancing life. He has the best personality. His cheeks get fat when he laughs. There are days where his hair is out of control , and I’m having to brush it to keep it down. He gets that side from me, I’m forever fighting with my curls. Part of me wants to cut it but the other part does not want his curls to dissapear. I cried the first time Frank took him to the barber shop. It was suppose to be a surprised, but I took it as if the world was falling apart. He looked much older, the baby in him seemed to be gone. Part of me does not want to accept that he is growing each day and one day he will be a man. While I love how little and sweet he is right now, I can only hope that we will help shape and mold his life, to always be a positive influence. And I do hope that we raise our son to live his life to the fullest and make his own choices with intelligence. It seems that right before bed time he has the most energy and does anything to make us crack a smile. I feel like everything is right in the world when he’s curled up against my chest, when he tells me with the sweetest grin that he loves me. He tries to hug us tight, yet is not hard enough but just right. I think there’s a lot I can learn from him.
I feel like I am rambling now.. I wanted to share my 2 special loves. My family is everything to me.

Special thanks to Norm for capturing these moments.
